Managing companies effectively is essential for keeping your business organised and efficient. This guide will walk you through creating, editing, deleting, and setting up companies in the system.

Company List

On the Company List page, you can view key details about each company in a structured layout. The following columns are displayed for easy reference:

  • Company Name – The name of the company.

  • Total Employees – The total number of employees associated with the company.

  • No. of Pay Cycles – The number of active pay cycles configured for the company.

  • Payment Frequency – How often the company processes payments (e.g., weekly, monthly, fortnightly, 4-weekly).

  • Next Pay Date – The upcoming date when the company's next payroll will be processed.

  • Status – The current status of the company (e.g., Active, Inactive).

  • Actions – Available options for managing the company (e.g., Edit, Employees, Payroll Current Period, Deactivate).


Creating a New Company

To create a new company, please follow the steps below:

  1. Navigate to the Dashboard by clicking on the logo.

  2. You will see the following page the first time you access it.

  3. Click the Create button and follow the instructions in this article (Creating a Company: A Step-by-Step Walkthrough) to complete the setup.


Editing Company Information

To update the existing company details, please follow the steps below:

  1. Navigate to the Dashboard by clicking the logo. The Company List will then be displayed.

  2. Locate the company you want to update and click the Edit icon.

  3. There will be a green tick box for the sections you have already completed


Employee Dashboard

To access the employee dashboard or employee list, please follow the steps below:

  1. Navigate to the Dashboard by clicking the logo. The Company List will then be displayed.

  2. Locate the company and click the People icon in the corresponding row. This will take you to the employee dashboard or employee list page.

  3. You can also go to the employee dashboard from the Edit Company page


Deactivating/Reactivating a Company

To deactivate the company, please follow the steps below:

  1. Navigate to the Dashboard by clicking the logo. The Company List will then be displayed.

  2. Locate the company you wish to deactivate.

  3. A Green dot is prefixed to the company name in the company name column for better visibility.

  4. Click the Block icon in the corresponding row.

  5. Click Proceed on the confirmation pop-up to deactivate the company.

  6. You can also deactivate the company from the Company Details page.

To reactivate the company, please follow the steps.

  1. Navigate to the Dashboard by clicking the logo. The Company List will then be displayed. Click on the Filter icon.

  2. A Red dot is prefixed to the company name in the company name column for better visibility.

  3. Click on the filter and change the status dropdown to show inactive, then click Search.

  4. This will show a list of deactivated companies.

  5. Click the Activate icon on the respective row to activate the company.


Company Filters

Navigate to the Dashboard by clicking the logo. The Company List will then be displayed. Click on the "Filter" icon to expand the view below. Click the filter icon again to collapse the filter section.

Filtering Options

Company Name: You can enter the company's name manually or click the down arrow to select from the available list. To clear the entered text, click the "X" icon.

Status: Choose the desired status from the dropdown menu. The available options are Active and Inactive.

After filling in the fields, click Search to filter the list of companies. To remove all entered filters and start fresh, click Reset.


Company Grid Settings

You can customise the columns displayed on the Company List page to suit your preferences.

  1. Click on the Grid Settings icon located in the top-left corner of the listing box.

  2. Select or deselect the checkboxes next to the columns you want to show or hide.

  3. It also has the option to search and select all. It will show the number of selected columns at the bottom.

  4. Click Apply to save your changes.

Please note that these changes will remain in effect until you leave the page.


Company List Pagination

The pagination controls at the bottom of the grid allow you to navigate through multiple pages of records efficiently.

Pagination Options (From Left to Right)

  • Go to the First Page: Click this option to navigate to the first page of the list.

  • Go to the Previous Page: Move back to the previous page.

  • Page Number: Enter a specific page number to jump directly to that page.

  • Go to the Next Page: Move forward to the next page.

  • Go to the Last Page: Click this option to navigate to the last page of the list.

  • Items Per Page: Adjust the number of records displayed per page. You can select from 10, 25, 50, or 100 items per page.

Additionally, on the right side, you will find a record count displaying the total number of records and the number of records currently visible on the page.


Create an employee from the company list

To create the first employee for your company, you can easily do so from the company listing page. Simply click the +Create button in the Total Employees column, and you'll be directed to the employee creation page.


Accessing the current payroll period from the company list

To access the current payroll period from the company list page, please follow the steps below:

  1. Navigate to the Dashboard by clicking the logo. The Company List will then be displayed.

  2. Locate the company and click the Payroll Current Period icon in the corresponding row. This will take you to the current period tab of the payroll page.
