25/26 Illustrator now available

Due to the Employers NI increase changes from 6th April 2025, we have noticed an increased requirement for workers wanting to understand the impact to their take home pay. Therefore, we have released next years Illustrator a little earlier than usual. Simply change the Tax Year to 25/26 to carry out this calculation:


Bulk Actions

We have given you the facility to send starter packs, right to work checks (Trust ID) and portal access in bulk. This process will help you to send the mentioned activities quickly rather than doing them individually against each worker. We have added the new menu under CRM -> "Bulk Actions".

All Accounting Firm admins will have access to this menu by default. To give access to your internal users, please give them access via the "User Privileges" function. CRM Improvements

We have added more improvements to CRM in terms of the Custom People Lists screen. You now have the below options:

  • Save columns to the grid using Grid settings - the columns added and then saved will be remembered for that population list.

  • Remember sorting & page size.

  • Added "Payroll "Pending" Sales invoice" field.

General Improvements:

  • Ability to add sender name for Text Anywhere.

  • Provision to update employee number at any time.

  • Accrued holiday pay and employment costs will be displayed under Company Income & Costs section on the Umbrella illustration PDF.

  • NI numbers with "TN" prefix are not permitted when saving employment details.

  • Need to fill mandatory fields when rejoining workers as self-employed.

Accrued Salaries and Unprocessed Reimbursement reconciliation reports

We have now given you the ability to download a reconciliation report for both Accrued Salaries and Unprocessed Reimbursement relating to account codes 115 and 242 respectively. To learn more, please visit the article below:


Clearing down penny balances on Net Wages reconciliation screen

If you partially match a net wage within the net wages banking screen, you can now round these balances off in both the net wages bank transaction as well as the net wages General Ledger. To learn more, please visit the article below: ​


Finance Improvements

  • We have now given the facility to see which contractor has been matched to a net wages payment within the banking screen. Once the net wages have been reconciled, you will see a blue icon next to the net wages which (when selected) will provide the contractors name, and employee number on the ‘Amount Explained’ screen.

  • Previously, you would not be able to match the same account code for the same transaction, more than once. We have now enhanced this process by allowing you to split the transaction and still be able to allocate it to the same account code however, this is only available if the VAT percentage is different for each allocation. You will be unable to use the same VAT percentage and the same account code for the same transaction.


Payroll Improvements

  • CIS verification is now available on the PBE report. This will be visible as an additional column next to the tax code column and will show as either 0%, 20% or 30%. The PBE report will still highlight a CIS worker in red if their CIS is unverified. An unverified CIS worker will display 30% on the PBE report.

  • We have reworded Company income section of payslips. The previous wording caused some confusion so we have renamed the left section to ‘Company income and Costs’ and the right section to ‘Company income Received’ for clarity and accuracy.

  • History of ‘Updated by’ for private pension is now available in the private pension screen.


Bug Fixes 🛠️

Previously, there was an issue where 'page number already generated' error would show when starter packs and pages were created at the same time. We have given the fix in this release which should reduce the frequency of this error in future.
