Summary:

You can put workers on stop in bulk in 2 steps. First process would be creating a population of workers you want to put on stop and go into bulk stop payroll screen, select the list you've created, select workers and update stop payroll😊

Step by Step Process:

Step 1:

First and foremost step would be to create a population using "Custom People Lists" feature😊 This is the main step to create your list of workers you want to put on stop. To know more about on how to create a list, please visit the below article:

Example:

Now, I will be putting the workers on stop who didn't sign the contract yet, so I've created the list using Custom People Lists screen called "Pending Contract".

Step 2:

Once you created the list, you can go to Bulk Stop payroll screen as mentioned in the top (either via CRM menu (or) People Hub). After you landed on the screen, you can choose the list that you want to put on stop. Once you selected the list, you will see the workers on that particular custom people list.

I've selected the list "Pending Contract" that I've created in Custom people lists and workers are loaded. You can do two actions from here:

a) You can put the workers on stop (or)
b) You can take off the stop payroll for the workers who were already on stop in that list.

Put workers on Stop in Bulk:

By Default, stop payroll option will be enabled, you have to just select the reason from the list, select the workers below using the check box and click "Update Stop Payroll" in the top to put the selected workers on stop.

If you click top left checkbox in the top above workers list, it will select the workers displaying in that screen (10 by default), if you want, you can increase the items per page up to 250, select those workers and then update stop payroll😊You can put 250 workers max on stop at a time.

After you click "Update Stop Payroll" button, background task will be added and task will be completed soon.

Once the task is completed, you can be able to see the history by clicking "History" button in the top.

If you click the "orange" (View Stop Payroll History) icon under Actions, it will show the list of workers with old and new value with status😊

Take off Stop payroll in Bulk:

Same process, you can create a list, go to Bulk Stop payroll screen, select the list and "disable the Stop payroll" option, it will show workers who were already on stop in that list, you can select them and click "Update Stop Payroll".

This way, you can put workers on stop in bulk and take off stop payroll for workers in bulk😊

Rolling Back Stop Payroll Bulk Task:

Suppose in a very rare situation if you wrongly made workers on stop in bulk and you wanted to basically undo what you have just did, there is an option to do it as well😊

If you go into Bulk Stop Payroll screen and click "History" and it will show all the tasks you have did so far😊

In the above example, if I want to rollback what I have just did for first batch of 10 workers, what I would do is, basically click "purple arrow" icon (Rollback). You can click that icon to rollback the task what you did😊

When you click that icon, you will see the below warning:

Basically, this will rollback the task you have done for this list of workers. It will revert the stop payroll status as to what it was before before you have completed this stop payroll batch😊So please make sure you check the "Created At" time and proceed after that to 100% sure before you rollback.

Once you proceed, you will see the message to say it's reverted and it will say as "Rolled back" (orange label) against that particular stop payroll batch and it will also show the Rolled back time and person who did this in the history😊
