All Accounting Firm admins will have access to this menu by default. Please go to the "User Privieges" screen to provide access to other User Profiles.

You can navigate to this menu under CRM -> Bulk Actions -> Bulk Update Fields.
Using this new function, you can bulk update the below fields in CRM.
Contact Type
Contact Status
Referred By
Start Date (Expected)
First Pay Date (Expected)
New Business Administrator
Account Manager
The process for doing this bulk update is by creating the custom population first, and then update any of the above-mentioned fields to a certain value for that specific population. To know how to create a custom people list, you can refer to the below article.
In this article, I'll show you how to bulk update one of the above-mentioned fields - Contact Type. You can update the contact type for any type of population; for example, if you want to update the contact type for workers who're having the primary role as "Contractor", the first step is to create the custom people list to pull the workers whose role is "Contractor".
After creating the custom people list, you can go to the Bulk update fields screen and select the created custom people in the list.
After selecting the custom people list, the relevant workers will show. Then you would need to select the field that you need to update and select the value you need to apply for those workers to that specific field (for example, if you choose "Contact Type", contact types added in your organisation will show in the value to be updated field, similarly, if you select any other fields, it will display the relevant values that were added in your organisation).
Select the workers that you want to apply this value to that field and click "Update Fields" in the top to update the values for the workers.
The success message will be displayed if it's updated successfully.
You can view the summary on how many updated successfully and how many got failed by clicking the "History" button at the top. It will have the history details on when this batch has been sent and a summary in People Count (10/10 means everything has been sent successfully, 9/10 means 1 failed).
If you click the clock icon (yellow colour) under "Action", it will show the status individually against each worker in this batch (Name, Field name, old value and new updated value)
The update you're doing in bulk screen will also display in People Hub history against the individual worker record in People Hub for that field.
Rollback Updated Fields:
If someone bulk updated the fields wrongly, you have the option to rollback the updates that happened for that particular batch. That means it will revert that update and put it back to the original value that was before bulk updating the fields (Any changes you made for any worker in the batch for that particular field after bulk update will also get reverted to its original value before the bulk update.)
You can find this icon in the History section of the Bulk Update fields screen.
When you click the "rollback" icon, the below pop-up will be displayed.
If you hit "Proceed", update will be rolled back, and the field will be changed to its original value for the workers in that particular batch, and that batch will be classed as "Rolled back".
The history will be captured in the people hub against the worker record.
