Previously, you were allowed to have only one outbound email address configured for the whole Organisation, so all replies to payslips/invoices may go to the same inbox. From now on, you can set different outbound email address for different email templates (eg: Finance@xxx.com for Invoices sent to clients and Payroll@xxx.com for payslips sent to contractors).

NOTE:

To configure the multiple "From" email addresses, you would have to verify your domain. That is the first and foremost thing to use this feature.

Domain verification can be done under Organisation Settings/CRM Settings -> Verify Domain/Email tile. To learn about how to add your domain and verify it, you can

We have added the new section called "Email Defaults" in Domain verification screen. This means that the outbound email address configured in your organisation will get displayed by default under "Default From Email". You can change it if you want the default outbound email address to be changed to different email but that should be under the same domain you have verified above (should end with "mydigitalaccounts.com" as per the below example).

If you try to add an email with the different domain to the one which is already verified, the error will occur.

After verifying the domain, you can set the different outbound (From) email address for different email templates under the same domain which is verified.

You can set this under CRM -> Communications -> Email Templates. You can only set the different From email address for custom email templates. For system templates such as invoice, payslip, P45, P60 etc., emails will get sent with default From email which is under the Domain verification screen.

For configuring different outbound email address for the system templates such as payslip, invoice etc., you would have to make the system templates as custom templates by doing the below steps:

Go to CRM -> Communications -> Email Templates -> Click "Create". Choose the system template you want to change, give the template name (Ex: Payslip New Template), choose the company if you want to set this template only for specific umbrella company (Don't select if you want this template to send for all workers across all umbrella companies).

Give the outbound email you need to set in the field "From Email" for configuring the From email for this template.

Similarly, you can set different outbound email address for different email templates (all should be in same domain).

If you didn't set From email for any of the created custom email templates, emails will get sent with the default outbound email address set for the organisation. If you want to change it, you can change it whenever you want by clicking edit in the custom template you need to edit.

If you try to give the different domain to one which is already verified in the organisation, the below error will occur:

We hope that you will benefit from this new feature🤩😎
