Bulk Email - CRM

This article specifies how the new interface looks and improvements made in the bulk email screen.

We have completely improved the bulk email screen based on the user's convenience and given Creating custom populations before sending bulk email to custom email templates.

The user would have to create a custom population to send bulk emails to workers. To create the custom population, you can go to CRM -> Communications -> Custom Population and click "Create" (or) go to the Bulk Email/Bulk SMS screen and click the "Create" button).

You can create the custom population here as well using the "Create" button.

After clicking Create, the slider will open for the user to enter the custom population name and select the fields to create a population (That will have the fields on the people list as well as the custom fields).

Suppose the user wants to send a bulk email to all the live workers for a specific company. For that, they have to simply enter the population name as they wish on "Custom People Name" at the top, select the "Status" field and "Company" field under the "Standard Fields" tab, select the "Live" status, select the company name, and click "Save" as below:

After hitting Save, a custom population will be created for live workers under the selected company, and the user can select the population under the list to load the workers and start sending emails.

After loading the workers, the user can select the custom email template that is already created under the "Email Template" drop-down or create a new one using "Create Template". The user can choose (People/Referred by) whether the emails should be sent to workers or the contacts who referred the workers.

After choosing the email template, the user has to choose the workers (select individually/bulk select using the top check box) and click "Send Email". If the user selected "People", the bulk email will be sent to the worker's email, and if the user selected "Referred By", the bulk email will be sent to the referred by email.

After clicking "Send Email", the user can see the content of the template, he has to enter the subject and click "Send".

Once the email is sent, a background task will be added. The user can see the email status for the last five emails at the bottom of the screen.

They can do two actions in the list, one is to view the template sent and see the completed and failed counts using the email icon.

Also, at the top of the screen, the user can see all the history of bulk emails sent and can perform the above-mentioned actions.

The user can see all the created custom populations and their details by clicking the "Custom People List" button at the top.

Here, the user can modify the fields in the existing custom population using the blue pencil icon, (or) delete the population if they don't want it using the delete icon. They can create the new custom population using the "Create" button at the top as well.
