We sometimes have more than one customer from the same group of companies and it may be beneficial to group such customers with a head office and many different branches.

Our Group Customer menu was just what you needed if this was the case. You had to set it up in company settings but once it was, you were ready to go.

To enable the customer group option, please go to Settings > Company Setup and click Receivable Settings

All the Groups

Once enabled in company settings, an additional menu πŸ” appears under financial accounting:

And on the landing page 🚁, you'll see below where you can create, view and export your customer groups:

Creating a New Customer Group

When on the main page of Customer Groups, you guessed it, click on "Create" to begin your creation 🌡

On the slider, give your group a name (again, please be more inventive than me!) and select the chosen customers ⭐

And then hit Create Group:

And voila, you've just created a customer group!!! πŸŽ‰

Viewing Customer Groups

To check out a customer group, type three characters and click Search on the landing page:

Click the eye icon to view the customer

A slider will open once you click the view icon:

From here, you can view the financial situation πŸ’· or do more, such as edit the name of the group, add customers, or remove customers.

Edit Name

Click on the edit icon highlighted below...

...and the disabled box becomes a free-type box...

...and then click the "Update" button when you're done to save the new name! πŸŽ‰

Adding Customers

Click "+Add" on the view customer screen

...and another slider will open with a list of customers

...from which you can add the customer to the group by selecting them and then updating the group.

You can hide the slider by clicking on the close...

Now you have successfully added more customers to the group.

Removing Customers

There may be changes within a particular Group Customer and you need to remove a Customer from this group. To do this, go to view customers, then select them from the list and click the "Remove" button

And just like that, they've been removed from this group πŸ‘

Payment on Account for Customer Groups

Once you have allocated payments in the bank to a particular customer group, you can come to the main landing page of customer groups, search for the group customer and then click the "Payment on Account" icon.

And you'll be taken to:

From here, you will be able to match bank transactions that will appear on the left-hand side against invoices (of all the customers on that group) that show on the right-hand side.πŸ€―πŸŽ‰
