The data import section allows you to add bulk records to the system. The data import options can be accessed by going to CRM>Data Import, as shown below.

In the new screen, you can navigate to Data Imports by,

Understanding The Import Screen

On the data import screen, you have the option to choose a CSV file to import into the system. When you've selected the import, you can download the template, as shown below.

NOTE: You must use the templates provided, as importing your own template may cause unknown issues or errors.

Once you've completed the template, make sure you save it as a CSV, and you can then browse for it and press upload. Once that's been done, the import will then drop into the history section below.

From this section, you can see the current status, which can be one of the below:

Uploaded: The file has been uploaded and is waiting to be processed.

Processing: The system is currently working through the import.

Processed: The system has finished working through the import.

Once it's showing as 'processed' you will have a created and error count, which should equal the total record value. Each column is actually hyperlinked, and clicking it will download an Excel file with the imported values. Each file has a different end column, however.

Created File: There will be a reference ID column, giving you the worker's unique ID for importing the employment details later on.

Error File: There will be an error column, displaying why the row of data wasn't imported. You can correct this file and save it as a CSV file rather than amending the original.
