True Advances
True Advance is a new feature update that allows the user to calculate a more accurate value of payment by using our payroll calculator but without creating a payslip and FPS. This way, you know the value you are advancing the worker is likely to be much closer to their true pay when running their payroll at a later date. True Advances mean improved accuracy on your advance estimates and a reduced likelihood of any Carry Forward deductions for workers.
Cash advances are still possible where you have calculated the amount outside of the system and you need a simple and fast solution.
Reverse Charge VAT Credit Notes
Reverse Charge invoices were introduced on our April release, Credit notes have now followed suit and can be created and allocated to RC invoices. When raising a credit note there will now be a new field for "Credit Note Type", you can choose Regular or RC VAT. This will apply the reverse charge logic to the credit note and restricts the allocation of the credit notes to only RC invoices.
XML files for CIS submissions and FPS
We have added the ability to download and review the details of the XML file which has been sent across to HMRC for FPS CIS300 and CIS Verification submissions. This can help with queries and auditing processes.
Trial Balance improvements
As part of our custom chart of accounts updates, you can create your own account codes and customise the references used. This was, on occasion causing the layout of the Trial Balance (TB) to be out of alignment. We have added the code type to the screen so you can clearly see the order in the TB has been displayed in and it allows the user to see what category any custom codes have been created in.
SDC and IR35 questionnaires in People Hub - Phase 1
We have in this release added the SDC IR35 Menu in the people records so you have quick links to be able to undertake assessments for the worker. These still direct you into the CRM menus for now but keep your eyes peeled for more updates coming soon!
Payroll Settings History Log
We have added more history logs to the people records, you can now see history of the payroll settings tab button by clicking on the history icon in the left-hand menu.
