Run payroll single is a tool that can be used for running a single company. If you are looking to run several companies at once please see Run Payroll - Bulk.

Running a Payroll

You can find this option under Payroll - Process - Run Payroll – Single, as shown below

The payroll is split into the 4 steps highlighted below:

1). Pay Date

The first part is asking for the pay date, you can manually type it in or use the date picker if preferred.

Once you've selected a pay date, hit the 'Next' button.

2). Choose Assignments

The second part is where you select the assignment for payroll, this section will only appear if you have 'Assignment Based' set to yes under company setup.

You can only select a single assignment for payroll. You select them using the tick box as shown below. Once selected, click the 'Next' button.

3). Choose Employees

The third part is where you select the employees for payroll, you can select as many or as few employees for payroll. You select them using the tick box as shown below, there is also a select all tick box.

If you get to this point and realise an employees salary is incorrect you will need to edit this in their employment record.

The edit button allows you to create a pay element. Clicking the blue pen icon below will open a side box to the right where you can add this. (You will need to have set the pay element up already in the 'pay element settings' tab).

Once you've selected the employees, and are happy with the payment, hit the 'Next' button.

4). Run Payroll

This screen gives you a breakdown of the payments you are about to process.

If you are not happy with the payroll, you can click previous, which will take you back to the previous screen. You can also pull the reports to see the full breakdown of the payments or once you are happy, you can click 'Generate'.

Once Generate is selected, you will be greeted by this warning as an additional precaution:

If you are confident, click proceed.
