In order to submit your VAT returns using bridging software, you need to provide authority for us to interact with HMRC on your behalf. When you log in to the system, you will be shown the MTD dashboard, The screen will look like this after your company Set up:
The VAT number you have given in your company setup will be displayed here, along with the "Connect to HMRC" button.
Click on the "Connect to HMRC" button; this will redirect you to the Government website where you will need to complete your instructions to HMRC to allow My Digital Bridge to interact with HMRC and send and receive information about your company's VAT. This will ask you to sign in using the Government Gateway to authorise us.
Click on "Sign in to Government Gateway" and enter your gateway credentials.
Follow the steps on screen in the government gateway, and once you have authorised My Digital Bridge, you will then be redirected back to the My Digital Bridge account, and your screen will now look like this:
You are now connected to HMRC and ready to start submitting VAT returns!
